As we enter the 2026–2027 School year, the English Department, with its young, dynamic, experienced, and passionate teaching staff, remains strongly committed to creating a modern, positive, and inspiring learning environment where English is not merely a school subject, but also a means of communication, knowledge discovery, and global connection.
The English Department currently consists of 11 teachers who are dedicated to continuous learning, innovation, and professional development. Each teacher brings unique strengths in teaching, technology integration, experiential learning, and student motivation. In addition to their strong professional expertise, all members of the department demonstrate a high sense of responsibility, dedication, and a sincere commitment to accompanying students on their journey to master English, develop their abilities, and grow as individuals.
Guided by the school’s core values of “Creativity – Leadership – Responsibility,” the English Department continuously innovates its teaching methods in line with the development of students’ qualities and competencies. Lessons are designed according to a student-centred approach, with greater emphasis on interaction, communication, and hands-on experience through methods and activities such as Project-Based Learning, CLIL, Gamification, AI-Supported Learning, Debate, Role-Play, Storytelling, Public Speaking, and real-world learning projects.
In particular, during the 2026–2027 school year, the English Department aims to establish an “English-Speaking Environment” in which students are encouraged to use English regularly and are given opportunities to practise all four language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—every day, not only in the classroom but also through extracurricular activities, experiential learning, and daily school life.
Through this environment, the English Department seeks to gradually help students develop the habit of using English naturally, actively, and confidently. Students are encouraged to communicate in English in familiar situations such as greeting others, introducing themselves, participating in classroom discussions, expressing opinions, working in groups, and taking part in collective activities.
The English Department believes that language learning is truly effective only when learners are regularly exposed to, practise, and “live” the language. Therefore, teachers do not simply deliver knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation; they also place great emphasis on creating authentic communication opportunities. These experiences help students become more willing to use English, express themselves with confidence, and regard English as a powerful tool for learning, creativity, and global integration.
In addition to developing language proficiency, teaching and learning activities are designed to equip students with essential twenty-first-century skills, including critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and adaptability in multicultural environments.
Alongside their teaching responsibilities, the department’s teachers actively participate in professional research, subject-based workshops, teaching demonstrations, professional development programmes, and the exploration of advanced educational trends. In particular, the department places strong emphasis on the application of artificial intelligence in English language teaching, the design of digital learning materials, the development of shared teaching resources, and the implementation of modern classroom models, thereby improving the effectiveness of both teaching and learning.
More than a professionally strong team, the English Department is also a close-knit community built on unity, sharing, and collaboration. Every member is always willing to support colleagues, conduct lesson studies together, exchange teaching experiences, share learning resources, and promote innovative ideas. Through these efforts, the department continues to foster a professional, caring, positive, and creative working environment.
With the motto “Learn English – Live English – Love English,” the English Department is determined to build a modern, friendly, and inspiring learning environment where every student is encouraged to discover their potential, develop a genuine interest in English, form the habit of using the language in daily life, and confidently grow into a global citizen in the digital age.
Throughout the 2026–2027 school year, with the spirit of Unity – Innovation – Creativity – Responsibility, the English Department will continue striving to enhance educational quality, fulfil its professional responsibilities effectively, and contribute to the school’s continued development, international integration, and sustainability.
